Rangda lamp

The shape and material of the lamp looks simple, but a closer look shows detailed workmanship. Its heaviness and simple geometric construction constrast sharply with the decorative strip relief. This created duality refers to a scene in the relief in which the mythological goddes of evil, Rangda, is in an age-old battle with Barong, the god of good.*

Rangda print

This linocut print depicts the same motif as the Randga lamp: the endless battle between the Balinese god of good and goddes of evil. The simplified artistic expression lets the scene speak for itself, making only minimal changes to the scene with its stylization.*
